Meet Your 'Harmony of the Soul Retreat' Facilitators!
Lalit Kumar is the Founding Director of Himalaya Yoga Valley Centre. Lalit hails from India and has been teaching Yoga for 20 years in India and internationally. He is a prominent and established yoga teacher in the global Yoga community with a strong following within the yoga teaching world, spreading the wisdom of Yoga from the source itself.
Lalit leads all of the 200 & 300 hour Teacher Training Programs at his Himalaya Yoga Valley Centre. As lead teacher on all Himalaya Yoga Valley educational programs, Lalit divides his time between the Goa centre in India and his European centre in Cork, Ireland working on 200 & 500 hour trainings.
Lalit began studying at traditional Indian yoga schools known as Gurukulams at the age of 7 and he is honored to have studied yoga under some of the most well-known and respected yoga Masters in India. Lalit was initiated by Swami Veda Bharti of the Himalayan tradition in 2003. He has spent nearly a decade studying numerous traditional styles and disciplines at various Ashrams in North and South India. He studied Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore at Ashtanga Yoga Nilaya and Shri Parakala Mutt. Lalit has also studied at the Sivananda Centre in Trivandrum and spent his formative spiritual years at Swami Ram Sadak Gurukulam in Rishikesh. Lalit has studied under Sri BKS Iyengar and Sri K Pattabhi Jois, Sri Sharath Jois and Sri BNS Iyengar in Mysore and. Lalit continues to train in the Mysore with Sharath Jois as a humble and devoted student.
Leona McDonnell will welcome you on a transformative journey of self-discovery and well-being. Leona is a dedicated therapist and holistic wellness practitioner. With a profound love for nature and a passion for guiding individuals toward holistic healing, Leona combines her expertise in mindfulness, meditation, clinical hypnotherapy, clinical psychotherapy, life coaching, yoga and Tera Mai Reiki II with the healing inspiration of the natural world.
Leona is a compassionate and skilled therapist with a private clinical practice, committed to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with grace and resilience. With a background in clinical psychotherapy, certification as an IMMA Internationally Accredited Mindfulness Rooted Ecotherapy Practitioner, a 200hr Himalaya Yoga Valley Teacher (trained from the source of Yoga in India) and a Tera Mai Reiki II Practitioner, Leona brings a unique blend of Western psychology, Eastern holistic practices, and nature-based healing to her sessions.
Leona believes in a holistic approach to well-being, acknowledging the interconnectedness of mind, body, spirit, and nature. Her therapeutic sessions are grounded in empathy, respect, and a commitment to empowering individuals to unlock their full potential.
Leona has dedicated the last 20years of her life to continually learn new skills, train, develop, up-skill and expand her qualifications and experience so that she can be the best version of herself and so that she can reach and help others to heal themselves in their own life journey’s.
Nikki Solyom’s spiritual journey started with a quite physical practice from 2009 when she qualified as a Fitness Instructor , Personal Trainer and Neuro-Muscular Therapist from the National Training College in Dublin. Since then she has been a dedicated fitness professional and dietitian in many gyms and fitness centers in Ireland as well as competing as a bodybuilder and power-lifter for many years.
Yoga has been her way of bringing balance to her mind and body in her personal and busy professional life. Nikki’s Yoga Studies started in 2011 continuing to 2019 when she qualified as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher.
Currently Nikki is teaching regular Hatha Yoga and Kundalini Yoga practices in Dublin and Cavan with her passion being to deepen meditation practices by introducing Sound Bath Healing. Nikki is also a qualified Cacao Ceremonial Facilitator, where using the ancient Mayan plant medicine called Cacao, can help her clients to experience a deep level of connection and heart opening from this natural medicine.
Nikki enjoys facilitating beautiful and restoring Sound Bath Healing sessions with her full Chakra Set of Crystal Singing Bowls, which have been tuned to the healing vibration of 432Hz.
Nikki’s group and private one to one settings help her clients to go back to the basics and apply the original formulas of mind, body and spiritual wellbeing.
