It can also be an increased time of STRESS, WORRY, ANXIETY,FEAR and SICKNESS. Add a PANDEMIC into the mix and it is natural that all these normal Pregnancy related stresses and anxieties become elevated and it can become difficult to live and experience each moment of your pregnancy as it unfolds, without continuously worrying about your baby’s health, your health, medical appointments, your baby’s birth, what restrictions may be in place at the time of your baby’s birth and so much more.
Currently pregnant with my third baby and while recording this programme, I have thoroughly enjoyed designing, writing and delivering to you, in this online programme, the amazing daily Mindful and Self Compassion tools, tips, techniques, coping skills, breathing practices, meditations and affirmations that are helping me to remain positive, calm, energised, focused and that make every day of my pregnancy a joyous and grateful experience!
What will this Online Mindfulness for Pregnancy and Birth Preparation Programme include?
I have designed, wrote and delivered this online programme in a way that you will receive a general teaching in Mindfulness in each Module along with a teaching of HOW to actually apply the learning to your pregnancy, to everyday of your pregnancy and for your birth preparation.
There is a detailed break down of the what the entire Course consists of in the ‘Curriculum’ tab at the top of the page. Here you will see how I have broken up each module, the content included in each module and also the supporting breathing and meditation practices that I have included in each module.
The following is a summary of how the course is designed:
- Welcome and Facilitator Introduction
- Module 1: Why Mindfulness for Pregnancy and for Birth Preparation?
- Module 2: Cultivating Calm and Focus during Pregnancy and for Birth Preparation
- Module 3: Reducing Stress and Anxiety during Pregnancy and for Birth Preparation
- Module 4: Self Compassion during Pregnancy and for Birth Preparation
- Module 5: Affirmations and Positive Mind Body Relationship in Pregnancy and for Birth Preparation
Each module consists of video teachings and audio meditations by myself. I have also included some external teaching sources as supportive material from external sources in the form of video content in some of the modules. This helps to gain a greater understanding of my teachings from different supporting sources.
How long will it take to complete the programme?
There are no rules when it comes to completing this programme! It can be completed over a 5 – 10 week period, which gives time to implement each module’s tools, techniques and practices or it can be completed over a 6 – 9 month period, before your new little baby arrives into your life! You can take the course at your own pace!
It really depends on each individual and their desired pace for moving through the course. I would recommend taking time between each module to implement any suggested practices etc
