Meet Your Facilitator: Laura Phillips
Hello! I’m Laura, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to The Barley Moon. I am passionate about teaching mindful doodling as a tool, that everyone, no matter their age, can use in everyday life.
With a background in Applied Psychology from Durham University and a P.G.C.E from The University of Aberystwyth, I’ve always been fascinated by the human mind and how we connect with the world around us. I’m passionate about art and using art as a healing tool. I believe in the power of doodle art to bring calm and creativity to everyone, and I’m on a mission to share that magic with the world.
That’s why I specialise in delivering engaging and transformative mindful doodling workshops. Whether you’re a seasoned doodler or just picking up a pen for the first time, my workshops are designed to inspire, relax, and ignite your creativity.
Mindful doodling provides a unique avenue for children and adults to engage in creative expression while cultivating mindfulness and self-awareness. Through this practice, children and adults can develop a deeper understanding of their emotions, thoughts, and sensations, fostering their overall mental and emotional wellbeing.
Mindful doodling promotes stress reduction and relaxation, which promote positive mental health. By engaging in this practice, children and adults can learn effective coping mechanisms for managing stress and anxiety, ultimately enhancing their overall wellbeing.
